Our founders started over 25 years ago as advisors and investors, helping companies grow organically, improve their business, raise equity and debt capital and pursue acquisition strategies.
Founded with intention.
We were founded to create a new kind of investment firm - one that puts the owners and operators of businesses front-and-center. This meant being intentional with the fund structure, sources of capital and value building strategies.

Unique fund structure.
Our fund structure is distinct in the private equity industry. Put simply, a wide range of factors specific to the private equity industry often influence, and constrain, how firms work with growing businesses. These factors largely are unrelated to what is most important to business owners and operators. We removed them from our fund structure to avoid distraction and misalignment.
Complete alignment.
Our unique fund structure frees us up significantly — we are able to structure our partnership entirely on what is best for the company and do not consider the external dynamics that most private equity investors must factor into the equation. This means our initial investment, ongoing investments, strategic and tactical support and growth initiatives can all be formulated in a collaborative way to optimize for the needs and intentions of founders and owner-operators.
Our capital is patient.
We structured our investment firm with a long-term orientation for two reasons. First, our founders and employees are the largest investors in our capital base and our focus is helping you and your company build value—we know the the timeline for success will be different for different circumstances. Second, we have carefully partnered with a group of limited partners who are patient, thoughtful and deeply experienced in supporting the journey a company and its management team must take to multiply business value.
